Last Saturday June 5th Stephens Motorsports traveled to our home track, Mt Park Dragway for the running of their annual Car Wars event. This was our first race that we have been able to make this year at our home track and it turned out to be a great day! The day didn't look like it was going to be very good as we noticed a bad miss in the race bike when it came time for our first qualifying pass of the day. After trying everything I had time to try to fix the miss I finally gave up and decided to run it like it was. Surprisingly the bike ran very consistently and with the help of my great reaction times all night I captured win number 2 of the 2010 season! It felt really great to get the win with a broken weapon. I don't know what is wrong with the bike but the wife wants to leave it like it is and not fix it, HaHa!! Thinking that the bike was going to let me down every round brought out the best in me for sure, my worst light I had all day in eliminations was a .043 ! Now for the bad news. Due to lack of funds we will not be able to make the AMA Dragbike race in Montgomery AL. this coming weekend. It will be the first AMA race we've missed in two years but I just couldn't get the money together. I will try to get you a win picture from last weekend as soon as they post one.
